Adventures in renovating for profit is our new podcast series to help you if you’re looking to make money from a renovation, investing in property or you just want to update the home you live in.
Financing your renovation project is a big hurdle to get over and if it is a total makeover or a knockdown re-build, you’re probably going to need a lot of cash. And according to all the experts that cash is getting harder to come by.
In this episode we’ll talk about why it’s getting harder to get finance for investment properties, what you need to do to get a loan and the value of a good adviser like a trusted mortgage broker who can help guide you through the lending process.
In this series we will speak to a number of experts including a mortgage broker about financing a project and an experienced real estate agent about how to find your property and what to do once the renovation is complete.
Here are the episodes you can expect over the next few months:
Episode 1 – How to start a renovation project
Episode 2 – How to find an investment property
Episode 3 – What is the difference between buying to rent and buying to flip
